A 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Struck the East Coast of Honshu Japan.

March 27, 2012 – A 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Struck the East Coast of Honshu Japan: Today’s tremor occurred one year and 16 days after the mega-quake and tsunami of March 11, 2011 (see map). The 6.0 magnitude trembler hit at 8:00PM local time; at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles). No tsunami was expected from today’s quake. It was 7:00AM in New York, 6:00AM in Chicago, 5:00AM in Denver and 4:00AM in Los Angeles.
The 6.0 magnitude quake occurred 53 miles east of Morioka, Honshu, Japan; 54 miles southeast of Hachinohe, 99 miles southeast of Aomori and 318 miles NNE of Tokyo.
