March 11, 2014 Picture of the Day: Mt. Kangchenjunga in the Himalayas: This mountain is the third highest in the world, with an elevation of 8,586 meters (28,169 feet) and located along the India-Nepal border in the Himalayas. The Kangchenjunga massif represents “The Five Treasures of Snows”, as it contains five peaks, four of them over 8,450 m (27,720 feet).
