A 6.7 Magnitude Earthquake Stuck the Juan de Fuca Subduction Zone, Near Vancouver B.C., Two Hours Ago!

September 9, 2011 – A 6.7 Magnitude Earthquake Struck Near Vancouver and Seattle Less Than Two Hours Ago: A large quake struck at 12:42PM less than 175 miles from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It hit at a depth of 25 kilometers (16 miles), however, the NOAA Pacific Tsunami Warning Center stated that their was no danger of a tsunami. When the tremor struck it was 3:42PM in New York (EDT), 2:42PM in Chicago (CDT), 1:42PM in Denver (MDT) and 12:42PM in Los Angeles and at the epicenter.
The earthquake was 86 miles WSW of Campbell River, B.C., Canada; 87 miles SSE of Port Hardy, B.C.; 132 miles north-west of Neah Bay, Washington, USA; and 173 miles west of Vancouver (see map).
In my post on September 7th, I warned of a significant earthquake along the Juan de Fuca section of the Pacific Tectonic Plate “Ring of Fire.” In my estimation, today’s earthquake is but a prelude to a much larger event, on the dates given in the Sept. 7th post. The Juan de Fuca Subduction Zone fault has not seen a really large earthquake in over 300 years, when all the other major subduction zone faults that surround the “Ring of Fire” have experienced huge earthquakes. The two most recent examples are: (1) The December 26, 2004 Sumatra quake and tsunami and (2) The March 11, 2011 East Honshu Japan earthquake and tsunami. In both instances, it was the subsequent tsunami that was responsible for 90% of the damage and deaths.
Unlike Japan and Sumatra, the Juan de Fuca subduction zone is only 50 miles of the west coast of the U.S. and Canada. That means that roughly 6 minutes after a significant release in the fault, a catastrophic tsunami would hit the coast; resulting in unimaginable damage and deaths.

Yes! You have my attention! You have also said that Tokyo, Japan hits the Bulls Eye for the May 2012 Eclipse and have shown me personally that Vulcanus dissects through the border of South Orange County and San Diego County. It looks like Big Bear is going to get it again.
