6.2 Earthquake Struck the Solomon Islands Area less than an Hour Ago!

July 20, 2011 – – Solomon Islands Hit by 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake: Less than 45 minutes ago, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck 1,019 miles East of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The quake was 90 miles deep (54 kilometers). Because of the depth, no tsunami is expected according to informed sources.  There are no volcanoes in the immediate area.
