Fire, Dry and Las Vegas!

This is a personal note from your editor in Las Vegas, NV. Today, in Las Vegas it was 106 degrees with one percent humidity. That is unusual even by Las Vegas standards as the humidity is normally between 6 and 14%. The numerous fires burning across the Southern U.S. have heat and dryness in common, which I am very use to; living here. I remember one Summer it got up to 122 degrees in the shade.
On another note, I have extensive experience in the nuclear industry and have visited the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) on several occasions. Their is nothing to fear from the fire that is approaching that facility. LANL has extensive safety plans and procedures, to handle any event that could take place.
Two other nuclear facilities are in danger in Nebraska. These, also, are safe. I’m the Master of Disaster, however, I find myself surrounded by masters of deceit, mis-information and ignorance. Their is nothing to fear from any of the three nuclear facilities now, so prominently in the news.
