Earthquake Prediction for California!

August 1, 2011 – - Earthquake Prediction for California: A 7.2 magnitude earthquake will strike California between August 14th and September 21, 2012. My best estimate, off a dates are August 15, 2012; September 2, 2012 orĀ SeptemberĀ 18, 2012. This prediction is based upon a recent computer study of over 5,000 global earthquakes, with magnitudes greater than or equal to 6.0. The study involved an Excel Macro I coded, especially for this task.

The screen capture above reflects 19 California earthquakes, greater than or equal to 7.0 magnitude during the last 200 years. These quakes are marked by colored dots. The San Andreas Fault is highlighted, as well as San Francisco (SF) and Los Angeles (LA). Also noted are seven prominent earthquakes from 1857 to 2010.
